Jena, 22 June 2017 – The Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) has launched a campaign to present the digital success stories of start-ups and mid-sized companies in Germany under the name “WE DO DIGITAL”. The jury chose the winners in ten different categories. TAF mobile GmbH was the national winner in the “Transport and logistics” category. The prize was presented by Dr. Martin Wansleben, Chief Executive of the DIHK, and Carsten Lexa, President of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance, during the “G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance Summit”, held on 15 June 2017 at the Haus der Deutschen Wirtschaft in Berlin.
The DIMOCO subsidary TAF mobile GmbH, as a driver in the digital transformation of communications by local public transport, develops modern multi-client and multi-modal solutions for transport companies and networks such as the “easy.GO App”, “SWB easy.GO App”, “Leipzig mobil App”, “rnv Start.Info” and the “Muttis Laden” online shop.
“We are delighted about the special “WE DO DIGITAL” accolade from the DIHK. TAF supports transport companies as they implement their digital strategy. Our solutions provide a fast, targeted and simple way for passengers to obtain information on travel times and bus/tram stops in real time. It also offers a secure means of buying tickets and multi-modal offers such as car or bike sharing. As an IT service provider, we transform business processes into digital products. Our TAF online sales systems with multi-client capability allow us to link information, ticketing and payment efficiently and also to form multi-modal travel chains,” says Jörg Wagner, Managing Director of TAF mobile GmbH.
About “WE DO DIGITAL”: Digital transformation changes value-added chains, offers completely new business models and is increasingly putting traditional business models under pressure. With its “WE DO DIGITAL” campaign the DIHK is tackling this topic with actual stories and faces from Germany as a business location in order to present ideas, provide inspiration and give motivation. The German national winners in the ten categories illustrate the innovative approaches they are currently applying to digitisation and how they are dealing with change.
The winners of the “Digital success stories from Germany” categories received their awards during the “G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance Summit”, held on 15 June 2017 at the Haus der Deutschen Wirtschaft in Berlin, at a ceremony hosted by Dr. Martin Wansleben, Chief Executive of the DIHK, and Carsten Lexa, President of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance.
